I think we all want our life to be one of significance. I think we will all get to the end of our life (if we don't already think about it before then) and think to ourselves "Did my life matter? Did I matter? Did I live a life of significance?"
We can all climb the corporate ladder, become successful in our businesses and even be given the "Mum of the Year" coffee cup from our kids and feel very significant. And all of these (and more) examples are fine representation for what living a significant life could represent for each of us. And I really believe that at some level we get to choose that.
Then there is this other element. The fact that we are made with a unique set of strengths that are a solution to a problem that exists in the world. And you my friend, have been given a special task to complete that creates a significant expression of the unique you that unless fulfilled will create a sense of 'not enough'.
There is a passion, power and purpose within you that is bursting at the seams to be expressed. It is not simply the recognition of our talent and purpose, but instead the true fulfillment of your potential.
I believe with all of my being that until we fulfill that passion, power and purpose we will be left feeling inadequate, discontent and lacking significance. Our lives become a constant wish, hope and a pray that we can rid ourselves of those feelings and enjoy that happiness we are in constant search of.
